Before I was a writer and photographer I was an electric guitarist and songwriter for the Welsh ‘neo-acoustic’ pop group No Flags Etc. We once dreamt we could be, and for a short while probably were, the best band in Wales. We recorded loads of stuff, were on TV a few times, did a live gig on BBC Radio Wales and even made a 12” single about Marilyn Monroe.
